Independent American film-makers and game developers of ‘The Hunger’ announce launch of crowdfunding campaign to raise $12,000 for the production of occult horror film and accompanying retro arcade game ‘The Hunger: Awoken’ in their transmedia project.

Utilizing the mass media capabilities of the digital world to tell an overarching story, Director Nick Thomas, Producer Max Kondziolka and Game Designers Jo Wylie and Michael Todd, along with several others in The Hunger team, are using funding platform Fundsurfer to produce both an horror film and a multiplatform Arcade game as part of an overarching transmedia project, telling a story to the viewer through both a linear and non-linear medium.
Max Kondziolka, Producer said

“The Hunger, and The Hunger 'Awoken', bring together a team of young filmmakers and artists looking to create something original and captivating. The cast and crew of The Hunger, were initially brought together as students of Emerson College. Our team consists of people from different disciplines and backgrounds, working together to create something unique- experimenting with transmedia storytelling.”

The team look to raise $12,000 with Fundsurfer in order to achieve their creative dream of releasing both the film and the game, and welcome donations of any size, even welcoming those who cannot afford to donate, but simply wish to offer help in forging this unique endeavour. There are a variety of reward options available, from t-shirts to props, even allowing a potential donator to become an Executive Producer with IMDB credits! This project is truly original, and is led by an imaginative and driven team who are pushing the boundaries of modern storytelling.
