Terms & Conditions

  1. Entry to the Free Prize Draw is open to UK residents over 18 years only.

  2. Entries not submitted in accordance with the rules will be disqualified. The entry instructions form part of these rules.

  3. Employees or family members of employees of Fundsurfer Ltd, Help Refugees, Sawday’s, Canopy & Stars or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the prize draw or their direct family members are not eligible for entry into the competition.

  4. The prize draw is to win a first prize of four stays across the choice of 75 Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars places participating with the Help Refugees fundraising campaign. There are 70 runners up prizes of a stay at choice of places remaining once the first prize winner has selected the four stays as part of their first prize. Stays for both the first and 70 runners up prizes are only available from 4 June to 15 December 2016, subject to availability (and with some properties will also exclude July, August, half-term(s) and bank holidays).

  6. The first prize winner will select the four places they would like to stay at from the choice of 75 options. Once the choice has been made, it will not be possible to change or transfer the prize to another place. Only one stay per place is available.

  7. The 70 runners-up prizes will be allocated on a first come first serve basis (from the remaining places after the first prize winner has selected their choice of four) and once a runner up has selected their choice of destination, it will not be possible to change or transfer the prize to another place. Only one stay per place is available.

  8. The closing date for entry is 1 June 2016 (although the Promoter reserves the right to extend the promotion period). The prize draw will take place within 48 hours of the closing date, where under independent supervision the winner will be drawn at random. The prize winners will be notified by email within 7 days of closing date of prize draw. If the Promoter is not able to get in contact with the winner within 14 days of the closing date, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be drawn. It is the prize winner's responsibility to notify the Promoter of any change in contact information.

  9. Once the first prize winner has selected the four places for the first prize, the Promoter will then notify all of the runners up that they can now select from the remaining prize destinations. These prizes will be available on a first come first serve basis (and only one prize per place is available) we recommend that prize winners select and confirm their places as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The runners up winners will be notified of the selection of places by email.

  10. All stays (unless stated otherwise) are on a self-catering basis and are subject to the owners booking conditions. Travel to and from the prize destinations is not included. The number of nights available for a stay and number of guests able to stay varies across the places participating. It is not possible for the prize winner to change the duration or capacity stated.   11. All stays are subject to availability and must be booked (direct with the owners not the Promoter) no later than 30 June 2016. If the holiday is not booked by this point or the holiday itself not taken before 15 December, the prize will be withdrawn. Once confirmed with the owner, the booking is final and cannot be amended.

  12. The name and county of the winners will be available by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Help Refugees Prize Draw Winner, Canopy & Stars, Sawday’s Canopy & Stars, Merchants House, Wapping Road, Bristol, BS1 4RW

  13. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.

  14. No cash alternative will be offered and the prize is non-transferable.

  15. Entry is limited to one per person.

  16. No purchase is necessary for entry to this free prize draw. There is no obligation to make a donation to enter. To enter via the free-prize route send a letter or postcard to: Help Refugees, Canopy & Stars, Sawday’s Canopy & Stars, Merchants House, Wapping Road, Bristol, BS1 4RW. Please include your name, telephone, postal address and email address.

  17. The winner may not use the prize in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or prize draw.

  18. The holiday element of the prize is subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to change the prize to an alternative destination of similar value without notice if circumstances beyond their control require it to do so.

  19. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
