Natalie Bennett visiting tomorrow

December 2014

Body

Hi everyone,

In little over a week, we have managed to raise over half of our target, so thank you again. Not only will the donations be put to great use, but it is another indication of the strength of support for the Green Party here in Bristol. This week I have been out meeting local residents in Redland, many of whom are floating voters willing to be convinced to vote green. I also supported a young green's street stall at Bristol university with the aim of ensuring students register to vote. This is an important issue for Bristol West and more generally, now that the Government has changed the rules on pre-registration of students - some may say a callous attempt to nudge students out of voting.

I am also pleased to announce (and sorry for the very short notice) that Natalie Bennett, Leader of the Green Party is making a surprise visit to Bristol tomorrow afternoon. It is predominantly to support the Bristol West campaign and she will be meeting local people and businesses, including Andrew Garrad, Chair of Bristol 2015 to find out more about the year ahead.

Natalie would very much like to meet members and supporters too, so we have hired the Grain Barge from 6pm for her to meet those that are able to pop along. Natalie will be there for about an hour so it would be great if you were able to join us. No need to book.

Again, apologies for the short notice.

Best wishes,

Darren
