About this project
Bityond is a recruitment, talent and project management platform that matches candidates to jobs, based on skills, experience, characteristics and availability. Our mission is to give candidates a quick way to find meaningful jobs and employers the power to recruit people with the right skill-set, or to manage employees by skills. As we transition into a distributed network model we aim at bringing more value to our community, by giving economic incentives, via the Bityond token, to any user who participates in the Bityond network.
Bityond differs from other skills-matching and recruitment platforms for being the first to incorporate an economic incentive for users in 3 different ways:
- Free tokens: By using Bityond users always get an economic incentive, Bityond tokens;
- Voting: as users will be able to vote on new developments and features;
- Utility: as users can spend tokens to sponsor new developments or purchase subscriptions.
To receive tokens users can:
- Participate in the ICO or,
- Use the platform, as tokens will be given for free upon completing certain actions (creating a profile, adding skills, accepting a job, etc). This will be incorporated in version 3.
Candidates do not like spam email, neither wasting time looking through job posts. Recruiters often face difficulties when trying to find the right candidate on a timely manner, or when evaluating candidates’ profiles and skills
This is: how skills and experience translate in terms of actual professional knowledge.
Issues can be found for both candidates and employers.
Bityond works as an intermediary between candidates’ skills, experience and availability and employers jobs requirements. By using Bityond candidates do not need to look for jobs and employers do not need to look for candidates, as the platform finds and selects users to jobs depending on skills.
The goal is simple: candidates can only apply to open job opportunities that match one or more skills they possess and employers can only contact and select candidates that match their job requirements. In a sense Bityond streamlines the process for both employers and candidates. It’s quite useful for Employers to quickly find people that match the skill-set they need and for Candidates to receive better job opportunities, connected to their skills and experience. Bityond’s ultimate goal is to be the platform of excellence in connecting Employers with Candidates from different backgrounds, with different skills and experiences. The platform is designed for different job types, like full-time, freelancing, internships and so on. With the addition of economic incentives the entire network of users has another reason to spend time in Bityond, as free tokens are giver per different set of actions. Users can then use tokens to participate in voting on polls and help us improve the platform by incentivizing future developments, through donating those tokens.
For ICO participants the incentive is the massive growth we expect Bityond to have in the future, as more companies and people join our call!
In the next release ( Bityond 2.0) we’re looking to improve user experience by:
(a) Simplifying how skills are added to profiles,
(b) Designing a better and cleaner version of forms,
(c) Adding extra fields on profiles and jobs forms,
(d)Adding extra features like Interviews and Reviews,
(e) Including reporting and graphical representation of skills and experience.
Both Bityond 1.0 and Bityond 2.0, currently under development, have been funded by the team. In order to speed up the development of Bityond 2.0 and 3.0, which incorporates more features and the Bityond Token, raising funds via an ICO and Crowdsale seemed to be the right option. With raised funds we will be able to:
- Hire more developers to super visioning and maintaining Bityond tokens and smart-contracts,
- Give the team more financial freedom to hire freelancers for specific jobs,
- Spread the word about the platform, as ICOs are an amazing channel to reach tech users and people generally interested in technology,
- Have cash flow available for online marketing campaigns,
- Invest into growth hacking,
- Further develop partnerships with a wider range of universities and
- Further develop partnerships with consultancies, talent management and recruitment companies.
Our ultimate goal is to be the first recruitment platform that incorporates a network model. By giving back power to users, via tokens distribution, we’re creating incentives that will fuel the network: different logics can coexist because users are incentivized to share as much data as possible.
