Recording update!

May 2016

Hello everybody,

Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies for not being in touch with you sooner. I am so very grateful for your support and would never want any of you to feel as if it's not appreciated. The start of the year was pretty horrendous for me personally (I'll spare you the details) and then we were very busy recording throughout March and I feel as though my feet have only just touched the ground! Recording the album was like a life line for me during a very difficult time, but it was also a bit of a whirlwind of emotions. As it currently stands, we have finished recording all the songs and are now just about finishing off the mixing. Next step is to send it off to be mastered and getting all the artwork and packaging sorted. I can tell you that the album will be 11 tracks (of pure musical delight!), 9 of which we recorded with Ben Capp at The Island and 2 with Jeff Spencer at J&J Studio earlier in 2015. It's going to be a very eclectic affair, a true mix of soul, jazz, blues and funk originals...with other influences appearing too. I've done this on purpose because I want to create music I love and not try to pigeon-hole it just for the sake of marketability. Call me crazy, but I have faith that people can handle more than one musical genre in a single album! I know you guys will! :)

So...I promised you exclusive content and here it comes! Here's a slideshow of photos from our time in the studio, which will be shortly followed by a short video which I need to edit together from all the various clips I've collected. You'll get to see and hear the album coming together, with a few sneaky previews of the tracks!

Thank you for making this possible!
