John Foster teaches writing at Bournemouth University.  He has published fiction in the Guardian and Spectator, broadcast talks for BBC, worked as a script editor and associate producer in television.  His credits include episodes for television series: Z-Cars, Softly Softly, Crown Court, Emmerdale, Juliet Bravo, Rockliffe, Saracen, The Bill.  He has written childrens’ serials, single dramas and drama-documentaries, including a BAFTA award-winning film on crime writer Raymond Chandler.  The movie of his screenplay Letters from a Killer featured Patrick Swayze.  He has been involved in the creation of multi-media dance dramas and his work has been staged at the Edinburgh Fringe.  A co-founder of Doppelganger Productions, he is currently engaged in writing for theatre.  His play Chummy, performed at the White Bear, London, was nominated for four Offies, one for ‘Best New Play.’
