Marina Arts Trail 2017 - 'Everyone's an Artist!'

Portishead Arts is hosting a fantastic community event which seeks to showcase the very best in local talent by bringing together professional and amateur artists with young people from Portishead. Based at Hall & Woodhouse’s waterfront bar, we invite you to come and enjoy a sun-kissed(!) weekend in early August and take part in the first Marina Arts Trail. For a £25 donation, YOU can own one of the original artworks created at this unique event.

The artwork will be created throughout the day on Saturday 5th August by 60 participating artists including: 20 professional artists, 20 members of the public, and 20 budding young artists from across the town and submitted by 6pm. Confirmed professional artists include: Andy Council, Michelle Lucking, Gina Love, Ian Price, Xenz, Paris, Eco and Dicy. Everyone who donates £25 will be rewarded with one of the artworks that will be selected at random following the outdoor exhibition.

*All proceeds from this event will be used to help fund a 'Skate Park fun-day' for young people at Portishead Youth Centre*

Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th August 2017

All artwork created on Saturday will be displayed around the Marina on Sunday 6th August and create a unique 'pop-up' exhibition of work that will only be on display for 12 hours - before YOU will become the owner of one of the paintings!

Help us to make this community event a success and support local youth projects!

Portishead Arts is offering supporters the opportunity to own one of the artworks created over the weekend but your donations will also be helping to support events like this one that brings communities of all ages and backgrounds together. All proceeds from this event will be used to help Portishead Youth Council to fund a 'Skate Park Funday' at Portishead Youth Centre.

Portishead Arts @ Hall & Woodhouse

As well as the mass outdoor paint-off around the Marina, Portishead Arts will be at Hall & Woodhouse giving demonstrations and hosting workshops in a range of media throughout Saturday 5th Aug to encourage and inspire visitors to get involved and enjoy being creative. Celebrations will continue on the following day as the first Marina Arts Trail will be open for all to come along and enjoy on Sunday 6th Aug.

Portishead Arts aims to highlight the incredible range of creative talent that we have on our doorsteps and inspire the next generation of artists in the town.

Portishead Arts is a local not-for-profit organisation which has previously held popular arts and crafts fairs at Portishead Lido.
