An accessible programme of events to share creative skills like rewilding, street art, photography and digital rights to empower you and your area.

The School of Activism is back to remind us all that the power to change the world is in our hands.

Running again this Easter, the Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft invites everyone to a programme of workshops, events and activities designed to empower and inspire. From radical history and knowing your rights in a new world to cutting stencils, adblocking and rewilding - the School of Activism will help you develop tools to change the world.

Activists, influencers, and academics, photographers, poets and painters, campaigners, performers and street artists have come together to share their secrets at the School of Activism. All of the workshops are free or low cost and most of them will be aimed at families, or suitable for all ages - but we need your support to be able to offer these sessions to as many people as possible who wouldn't be able to attend if we charged entry to cover costs.

All our work is funded by the sale of our fine china mugs, designed by local artists, decorated by hand, and for sale in our Jamaica Street shop; or from the low-cost hire of our event space. So whatever you can contribute to support us this year will go a long way to empowering our communities to help each other and themselves.

Loads of time and effort is being volunteered to make this happen but we need to cover travel, materials and resources. Help us make the School of Activism an event that can make a real difference to people's lives!

"The School of Activism is a much needed space for Bristolians to get skilled up and take on the critical issues of our time. From Bristol to Baghdad to Bangkok, the ecological and political crises of today are as much local as they are global. It's high time communities mobilised to take action into their own hands."
Alon Aviram, co-founder of the Bristol Cable

"It feels like we are at a time of political crossroads where young people are finding their voice and demanding changes. One way they can express their dissatisfaction is through self representation on the streets."
