We are raising fund to buy equipment to make sleep shelters for the homeless on the streets of Manchester
We are raising fund to buy equipment to make sleep shelters for the homeless on the streets of Manchester.
This has been done in other cities and we now want to bring this to our City.
Each pod costs £25 for materials and then our volunteers will build these and distribute to those who are in genuine need.
The starting amount we need is £2,500 but this project will be ongoing.
Each night I see more and more people sleeping in door ways.
This problem is not going away so I think its time we aided those who choose this option.
The city has places to stay but often these are not pet friendly or not safe for those who wish to stay clean and sober.
These pods are an option to allow these people to sleep warm when conditions drop as low as -6°.
I am sponsoring the first 10 pods to get this fund started and will be donating my time to build and distribute. so there are no wage costs. All money raised will go towards building pods.
