Updates for Empower Youth Voices

We've Reached £1000!

Happy Friday beautiful people!

The total is now over the £1000 and I am so happy!!  That of course, is all down to you, so again I want to say thank you so much.

I would like to take this time though to ask you to please share this campaign with a friend, family member or work colleague, and convince them to pledge just £3.  If every one of you who has pledged so gets at least one person to pledge £3, you will get us to the half way mark.

You even could share this photo of Randy with them if you wanted :)

Over 40%

Good afternoon beautiful people,

We are now over 40%!!

Thank you all so much for making a pledge and sharing the campaign so far.  The support you've shown for my platform has meant the world to me, as this is my baby and I believe it can genuinely make a difference in the lives of young people.

With just 13 days to go, I have written a special post on the YP Insight blog, which I would love for you to read and of course please share, share, share.  I cannot reach my target without you: http://bit.ly/2pCZNHf

14 Days to Go

Can you believe that we've only got 14 days to go until the end of our crowdfunding campaign?

The time has gone by so fast and now it's time for the final push so that we can try to reach our target.

We were fortunate enough to have our campaign featured on The Voice's website, which will hopefully raise awareness going into the final two weeks.

You can have a look at the article here and as always, please share it far and wide: http://bit.ly/2px0Bxm

Back to Work

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you're having a lovely day back at work, university, or maybe even college after the long weekend.

I've been keeping busy as usual, writing press releases and articles, updating social media, contacting the press.  Crowdfunding is a lot of work you know, I never realised how much it would consume my mind and my time.

Introducing Alana

Hello everyone!

I hope you're having a lovely bank holiday Monday.

I'd like to take this time to introduce you to Alana, a very special young person who has regularly been involved in Young People Insight since February 2016.  You might remember me mentioning her in one of the previous updates, as she led out in a forum for the first time in April.

Alana also happens to be an amazing spoken word performer and in this video, she shares her experience of taking part in Poetic Insight.  Have a watch and please share it with others.

Poetic Insight Update

Hello everyone,

I hope you're enjoying your bank holiday weekend and getting some good rest.

As you might remember, April's Poetic Insight took place on Tuesday and it was fire!  If you want to get a little more insight into the night, you can check out our latest blog post: http://bit.ly/2pk2eyk

We've also got some great pictures from the night that you can look at on our Facebook page: http://bit.ly/2qippud

Keep On Sharing

Happy Friday everyone!

Last night's pitch at the Business Launchpad Awards 2017 went well - poetry is what we do after all - and some good contacts were made.

However, converting our pitch into pledges is continuing to prove difficult.  Hopefully that will change with 19 days left to reach our target, so please keep sharing the campaign with as many people as you can and let them know why you pledged to our campaign.

As a reminder of why we do what we do, have a watch of some of the performances from the Love & Hate edition of Poetic Insight.  Hope you enjoy.

Pitching at Business Launchpad Awards 2017

Hello everyone,

It's a big day for me, as I'm going to be pitching later at the Business Launchpad Awards 2017 as part of a live crowdfunding element.  For me, delivering the pitch is relatively simple, but facing questions from those in attendance and promoting my campaign in conversation will be the difficult part.

I'm someone who hates having to talk about myself and I fail to mention the important elements of what I'm doing, but I know I'm going to have to get over that if I want to make Young People Insight successful.

Poetic Insight on Fire!

Last night's Poetic Insight was fire!

If you couldn't be there, you missed out on a brilliant night of poetry and spoken word.

We welcomed young people performing their poetry for the first time ever, which I always love, because that is exactly what Young People Insight is all about.  We also welcomed back some regulars and returning poets, creating a great variety of performances.

Looking Forward to Poetic Insight

As you might remember, today is the day of this April's Poetic Insight!

We're looking forward to another night of poetry and spoken word delivered by some very special young talent.  As is no set theme this month, we have no idea what topics we're going to hear about or what some young people are going to share, which makes it all the more exciting.
