Husky Tones asking for your help to produce our second album.

Hello everyone. We go by the name of Husky Tones and we’re looking for help to make a new album. We’re a modern sounding punk blues duo and with this album we aim to define our new sound, raw, energetic and groove based with with strong lyrical content concerning both personal and political issues.

All the songs are written and we're booked in to make the album at Platform Studios in November over 10 days with Stuart Dixon producing. We’re both full time musicians which is a great life but not the most lucrative one so we would greatly appreciate any help that you can give to this project.

This album has the clear potential to be the best work we’ve ever done so please do become a part of it. We need to make it happen so that we can show the world what we’re capable of and what we sound like now. The aim is to send it far and wide and to use it to give us opportunities to perform the material in as many places as possible throughout 2017. The release date will be in February 2017.

All money raised will go towards the cost of the recording studio and for printing, duplication and distribution of the album. We really would appreciate any help that you can give.

The cost of making and releasing the album is nearer £6000 we are seeking £2900 which will cover the inital recording costs and production of the CD's.

All backers will have their names printed in the album booklet which is planned for release in February 2017 and there are of course a varied list of rewards that you can claim depending on your donation.

We have a strong track record from our first album which was highly sucessful resulting in performances at festivals around the UK and a headline slot at the legendary 100 Club in London. We have more dates booked in to tie in with the release of this second album. A full list of all the fantastic reviews is available on our website.

Husky Tones’ approach to the blues mirrors what they love as audience members: inventive, individual and fully aware of tradition without being a slave to it.

‘a stunning and entertaining debut’ Blues Matters

‘theres a massive buzz building around the band’ Bristol 24/7

Their punk blues style favours the common rawness, simplicity and emotion shared between the punk and blues genres. It is delivered live by the unique set-up of a female drummer singer Victoria Bourne and guitarist Chris Harper.

‘original songs delivered with sassy vocals’ Blues in Britain

Their music is all about the song writing and creating a sense of theatre, with each song having a story to tell, whether it be political or personal.

‘these songs lurch thrillingly from one thumping groove to the next’  Musicians Union

A huge thank you to each and every one of you who helps us on this project from Chris and Victoria xx Please feel free to share #huskytones
