7 marathons over 7 days

August 2015

Body

On 5th September 2015 Chris Spray and Richard Whitehouse will be challenging themselves to a physical feat that surpasses anything they’ve tried before. They will be running, walking and crawling the length of Offa’s Dyke path, 285 km, in just seven days. That’s 7 Marathons in 7 consecutive days. What’s more this route incorporates some quite rugged landscape; the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons and the Clwydian Hills in North Wales. Total Ascent is 29,000 feet, more than the height of Everest.
The boys will be consuming 6000 calories a day and no doubt will keep Scholl in business with a large supply of blister plasters.

They will be attempting this challenge for our chosen charity, Crossroads Retreats and partnering with Holistic Dreams, a phenomenal emerging organisation that helps service personnel transition into civilian life. You can read more about these causes below.
We will be completely grateful if you are able to support this challenge with either some sponsorship or to join us on part of the route as we thrash through Wales from South to North Coast.
The British Army has kindly offered a support vehicle and a small team to support this challenge with logistics. This is a great help as Chris and Richard can now concentrate on the energetic task of training ( Between them Chris and Rich are cycling 50km a day and running / walking over 100 miles a week at present).
As the challenge develops we will update this page and during the challenge we will post a tracker here of our progress.
