We are funded! Many thanks to all of you. We still have a little time to try and get a stretch goal or two though. Paying our editor is the first stetch goal...

Natalie Bennett visiting tomorrow
An update for A Green MP for Bristol West
Dec 9 2014
Hi everyone,
In little over a week, we have managed to raise over half of our target, so thank you again. Not only will the donations be put to great use, but it is another indication of the strength of support for the Green Party here in Bristol. This week I have been out meeting local residents in Redland, many of whom are floating voters willing to be convinced to vote green. I also supported a young green's street stall at Bristol university with the aim of ensuring students register to vote. This is an important issue for Bristol West and more generally, now that the Government has changed the rules on pre-registration of students - some may say a callous attempt to nudge students out of voting.
I am also pleased to announce (and sorry for the very short notice) that Natalie Bennett, Leader of the Green Party is making a surprise visit to Bristol tomorrow afternoon. It is predominantly to support the Bristol West campaign and she will be meeting local people and businesses, including Andrew Garrad, Chair of Bristol 2015 to find out more about the year ahead.
Natalie would very much like to meet members and supporters too, so we have hired the Grain Barge from 6pm for her to meet those that are able to pop along. Natalie will be there for about an hour so it would be great if you were able to join us. No need to book.
Again, apologies for the short notice.
Best wishes,
Darren

Amazing & we haven't even 'launched'!
An update for A Green MP for Bristol West
Dec 1 2014
Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to say a HUGE thank you for donating to the Bristol West campaign. Unbelieveably, we have just broken through the £2000 barrier, and we haven't even launched it officially! As you know, the public launch is taking place this evening (Mon 1st Dec) at Boston Tea Party on Park Street, starting at 7.30pm. I hope I will see many of you tonight to say thank you in person.
You can book here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-green-mp-for-bristol-west-tickets-14563250073 On a first come, first served basis, there will be a free cup of tea or regular coffee, plus some cake. Of course, you can purchase more refreshments and snacks if you wish to. There will be a short presentation at around 8pm, then plenty of time to chat to me and other members of the Bristol Green Party, in particular ward candidates and Councillors.
In other news, I have just seen a set of survey results that suggest we are only a few % points behind Labour in Bristol West, so this really is all to play for. The message is very much "the Green Party CAN win in Bristol West" and with your help we are a step closer.
We have also just set up a public facebook page, so please 'like' it and share with your friends. We will be using it to involve as many people as we can in the debate about Green politics, and how we are offering the positive alternative.
Thanks again for your very generous support. You can be assured that we will be making every penny count.
Best wishes,
Darren Hall
Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Bristol West

Nearly Finished
An update for Protect our NHS: One Thousand Thank Yous
Nov 21 2014
Hi All,
Many apologies for not keeping you updated. It's been a bit manic. We have been hoping to film with some mental health service users, but due to the cutbacks and the general fear of being seen to put your head above the parapet, this has been taking a long time. Most of the film has now been completed and we are trying to work out the best way of distributing it as we approach the general election in 2015. I will keep you informed and look forward to meeting you at the previews we are planning.
Many thanks,
Steve

Over 50% funded!
An update for North by Southwest Anthology
Nov 20 2014
Many thanks to all our funders - we're entering the final few weeks and have a little over 50% of our funding.
Pete has been interviewed about it here: http://www.skylightrain.com/how-to-crowdfund-your-next-creative-project/
Please can you help us advertise the anthology by mentioning it on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc.) - we need another 40 odd people just like you to help us get the rest of the funding!
