Beaten the target, let's keep going!
An update for A Green Party presence at Co-operative Congress
Jun 1 2015
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this. I never imagined that we would reach the target so quickly! Now, can we raise even more?
The initial target of £520 pays the invoice from Co-operatives UK for the stall and two delegate places. On top of this, there are the travel and accommodation costs of the delegates, plus materials for the stall and the cost of the badges and t-shirts for the fundraiser.
Adding all of these extra costs together, this would come to about £450 above the target, including Fundsurfer fees. That means raising a total of £970. Can we do it?
Let's give it a try. I'll put my donation in right now to get started.
Thanks again, everyone!

An update for A Green Party presence at Co-operative Congress
May 29 2015
Hi All
Thought I'd post a bit of background information about our organisations.
I'm a member of the Scottish Green Party. This is a separate party from the Green Party of England & Wales, although we work closely together, as indeed we work with sister Green parties throughout Europe and all over the world.
"Co-operative Greens" is a group of Scottish Green Party members. Our logo is derived from the Scottish Greens logo (of course, everyone's welcome to wear it with our badges and t-shirts – the more the merrier!)
There's an equivalent Co-operatives Discussion Group in the Green Party of England & Wales.
Our two groups are collaborating to share this stall at Co-op Congress. Hopefully there will be many more joint projects in future.
If you're a member of either party (or both!) and want to join one of our groups of co-operators, please get in touch with me for details.
cheers

What a day!
An update for A Green Party presence at Co-operative Congress
May 28 2015
Thanks everyone. The project whizzed past the 50% funding mark today. Truly a Green Surge! I was worried that this wouldn't take off, but it's obviously really clicked with people.
Hopefully we'll be able to cover some of our travel/accomodation expenses as well, at this rate.
I'll be going to Birmingham as the Scottish Green Party volunteer. Rory Ridley-Duff will be there for the Green Party of England & Wales on the Friday, and someone else from GPEW (not yet finalised) will be there on the Saturday.
I'll post another update when there's more news.
Thanks again!

Open for business...
An update for The Jura Time Machine
May 26 2015
Thank you very much for visiting this site. We've had a slightly slow start, but are optimistic! As an experiment, it's very interesting to see how this method of communicating and financing will pan out....
We hope that what you've seen has inspired you to part with some of your savings, but just wanted to note that what investors are committing to here is further research and consultation. This means that even if you don't like what you see, you could part with some of your savings, because you will then have a greater influence on ensuring a future project does NOT go ahead! The JDT themselves are not fully confident about all the implications of becoming active in this way, which is why they decided to go through this feasibility 'pre-launch' stage first.
We have contacted businesses on the island, the big land-owners, and Jura's community groups, to see whether the time machine ideas are something they feel they want investigated on behalf of the island. Otherwise, it's down to individuals to judge, and every tenner helps!
We would also really value your honest feedback, either publicly here in the comments section on the main page, or on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/prelaunchjuratimemachine, or privately in an email to co.sec.jdt@gmail.com.

Finished!
An update for Protect our NHS: One Thousand Thank Yous
Apr 26 2015
Finally, ten months later I am uploading the finished film to YouTube. It's turned out to be harder than I thought mainly due to the combined pressures of campaiging to protect the NHS, making and editing the documentary and keeing the day job going, so my apologies for such a lengthy delay. The last few weeks have been frantic with Protect our NHS arranging and running five public meetings (hustings) on the future of the NHS and ensuring that all the candidates for each constituency were corralled and placed on a platform. There was one major no-show from an incumbent MP, but the rest all turned up to be quizzed by the packed audiences in each hall or theatre. If they didn't know before that the public really care about the NHS then they sure do now!
If funders would like a DVD copy for themselves please let me have your address. I shall be arranging a showing for Bristol based people, but I'm afraid it won't be until after May 7th.
Finally, please remember that on election day, it's a vote for any of the parties who you can trust to Protect our NHS that counts!
A thousand thank yous to you all for your funding.

An update for The Green Party campaign for South West Herts and Hemel Hempstead
Apr 26 2015
The funding campaign for the Dacorum Green Party election fund completed successfully on Thursday with a fantastic total of £700 raised.
Thank you all so much for your support!
Whilst we did not hit our target, the money raised is invaluable, and has, along with other local fund raising initiatives, allowed us to stand parliamentary candidates in both the South West Herts and Hemel Hempstead consituencies. The remaining monies will go towards leafleting and other awareness activities in the local area.
Once again, thank you for your support.

An update for ONE IDEA skate and art event
Apr 24 2015
We are on our way!
We have had an awesome response and want to thank everyone for their support getting us to where we are.
To celebrate hitting the £500 mark we have decided to release the One Idea Graphic.
The design was crafted by our very own Chez and will be printed on T-shirts and canvas, so if you like the look then check out our updated page.
Once again, everyone at Idea wants to say a big thank you for all the support we have had so far.
If you know anyone that would want to help us put on a free skate and art event in Cardiff then please share our page!
