An update for Bearpit Social - The Next Phase
Jul 1 2016
6 years ago today I graduated with my degree in Art Direction.
The day I graduated I realised that as much as I loved the world of communication and design, there had to be more to life than coming up with creative concepts to sell cars, phones and clothes.
I've always wondered what the world would look like if community groups, charities and not for profit organisations had the budgets big brands had to get out their message, promote their causes and solve the problems the world faces.
Bearpit Social was a way for us to experiment with this. What if we could serve good coffee and food made with love not only driven by profit margins to drive social change? What if you could create a space where people felt safe in a 'no-go zone'? Where all walks of life could cross each other's path and engage in conversation? What if ideas would come to life over coffee with strangers?
Essentially, that's what we are about. We love what we do. We feel like we've come a long way, but the road ahead is still pretty steep and this time we are asking for your help.
Please help us spread the word, make a pledge, help us to keep fighting to make the Bearpit social, more welcoming, more safe.

15 days to reach £13,000!
Hi everyone,
The events of the last few days have affected us all one way or the other so we'd thought everyone needed a break. But the pressure is still on to meet our target. Thank you for those who have pledged and shared but we need your help further now. Being a small team our reach isn't as wide as we'd like!
Please help us by sharing the link to the crowdfunding page, telling people about what we do and what we are trying to achieve in the space.
Fingers crossed and here's to hoping,
You've all been wonderful

Video update!
An update for Victoria Klewin & The TrueTones debut album
Jun 22 2016
So video editing is not really my strong suit, but here it is! Here's a video update on the album with some clips of us working (and messing about!) in the studio...
It is hosted on youtube but is unlisted so only those with the link can see it. The link is only being shared with you, our backers!
I hope you all enjoy it and I will be in touch again soon with more news about the next single release and other stuff.

The first milestone!
An update for Bearpit Social - The Next Phase
Jun 20 2016
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much to those who have pledged and double pledged already! We've passed our first £1,000 milestone!
We wanted you to know how overwhelmed we aready are.
We've talked about crowdfunding from the very start but it was always something we didn't feel confident in pursuing. We just thought that if no one knew who we were, or what we were about or what our products tasted like how would they know if they wanted to support us?!
3 years in and we thank the lucky stars for giving us some of the best customers a business could ask for.
3 years in and we've put out our hand asking for help, and you've answered, so thank you.
This is an extremely nerve-wrecking experience but we hope that with your help we are going to smash that target and we promise you we will come out of this better and stronger than ever.
Lots of love!
Miriam & team

Update!
An update for The 150th Anniversary of Swindon's traditional Children's Fete
Jun 17 2016
Hi everyone,
We have some great news to share... We've now managed to raise enough money through sponsorship to cover the hire of the Helter Skelter!
So all we are raising for now is the cost of the Steam-powered Carousel (£2,900 for the day).
If you want to have a go on this wonderful ride at this year's event, please donate and we will reward you with tickets on the day.
The more you donate the more tickets you will be rewarded for your donation!
So much thanks to everyone who has donated so far!
