An update for Victoria Klewin & The TrueTones debut album
Jun 22 2016
So video editing is not really my strong suit, but here it is! Here's a video update on the album with some clips of us working (and messing about!) in the studio...
It is hosted on youtube but is unlisted so only those with the link can see it. The link is only being shared with you, our backers!
I hope you all enjoy it and I will be in touch again soon with more news about the next single release and other stuff.

The first milestone!
An update for Bearpit Social - The Next Phase
Jun 20 2016
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much to those who have pledged and double pledged already! We've passed our first £1,000 milestone!
We wanted you to know how overwhelmed we aready are.
We've talked about crowdfunding from the very start but it was always something we didn't feel confident in pursuing. We just thought that if no one knew who we were, or what we were about or what our products tasted like how would they know if they wanted to support us?!
3 years in and we thank the lucky stars for giving us some of the best customers a business could ask for.
3 years in and we've put out our hand asking for help, and you've answered, so thank you.
This is an extremely nerve-wrecking experience but we hope that with your help we are going to smash that target and we promise you we will come out of this better and stronger than ever.
Lots of love!
Miriam & team

If you want to have a go on this wonderful ride at this year's event, please donate and we will reward you with tickets on the day.
The more you donate the more tickets you will be rewarded for your donation!

Corporates
We’ve been approached by several corporates in the city who want us to work with their teams both in Bristol and their other sites around the UK.
We’ll be leading some fun and thought provoking workshops during their diversity weeks and firing them up to volunteer and connect with our communities.Schools
We’re also talking with schools as they recognize and celebrate the incredible heritages of their students, working with their parents to create groundbreaking events, for the school and the wider community.Stories
Bristol is an incredible city – we’ve even discovered a few more languages than the 91 we’re based on! Our stories start with food and extend to life, love, family, tragedy and celebration. And this is why we’re so passionate about what we do: we're making real friendships and connections with each other – bringing Bristol together and making it an even more beautiful place to live.

Updates !
An update for Bristol's First Cat Cafe
Jun 11 2016
Hello Cat Lovers,
Some quick updates on our cafe developments!
Firstly I would like to thank all of you who have submitted our job application form. I felt really humbled to see so many of you are excited to be part of You&Meow team. On top of that I appreciate your genuine support and belief in what I am doing. It really helps as sometimes it can be a long and challenging process :). Thank you so much!
I have been screening the applications and will be contacting everyone who have submitted an application on Monday.
Now! Premises.
Some of you may already know that I found potential premises near the Hippodrome. I have been speaking with the landlord over the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately my solicitor has found that there are some legal issues regarding the lease I am not feeling very comfortable with. So there is a big possibility this premise will not go through. But the good news is that in the meantime I found another very interesting location and I am currently speaking with the landlord. I will keep you guys updated.
Have wonderful rest of the weekend!
Ewa

Mixing Progress report
An update for The Imperial Plan by The Fable
Jun 6 2016
Hi all,
I have been working hard towards finishing the last recording parts of The Imperial Plan and beginning to make good progress on the mixing. There is just one small bit of recording work to do on the track The Alliance Waltz, which should be happening on Wednesday night. We are bringing in a professional radio voiceover specialist and I am really looking forward to the results.
Thanks to your pledges I am able to spread the mixing work between two studios to speed up the process - Attic Attack in Bristol and 13 Sound Studios in Worle. Between them both we should be able to complete the mixing by the end of June. Unfortunately that won't be in time for me to release the album on 1st July as I was hoping (the centenary of the start of the Battle of the Somme). I shall keep you posted on progress of course.
So, I hope you are enjoying the warm weather and I shall be back in touch when the mastering dates are finalised.
Bye for now,
Mike aka The Fable

An update for Help Refugees - #holidaysforgood - shelter campaign
May 26 2016
Dear all
The fundraising campaign has now ended...
I’m delighted to let you know that the final total, with gift aid added, is an amazing £40,600! Our original target was £25k. Thanks to you, we absolutely smashed it.
We feel so proud of how the Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars wider community of owners and guests came together to achieve this. Together we have raised enough to provide vital shelter for 280 people.
We should, and will, do more of this kind of thing.
Thanks again from Sawday's, Canopy & Stars and Help Refugees. We are incredibly grateful.
Tom
Managing Director
Sawday's Canopy & StarsPS - (And an important PS!) We will be drawing the lucky winners of the holidays next week, and so watch out for an email if you're one of the deserving winners... The stays will be allocated on a first come first serve basis from the list below, so you'll need to be fast. It's a bit like a wedding list. Once a holiday is taken it's gone. But fear not they're all good'uns and no 24 piece dinner sets...
