  • Arts Council England donate £3800 to TCP-UK!

An update for TCPUK - Tunisian Collaborative Painting in the UK Launch Event

    May 18 2016

    Amazing news!!

Arts Council England have awarded us a Grant for the Arts payment which will cover the essential costs for this event... So the exhibition will go ahead, the artist's Tunisian Collaborative Painting workshop is funded for canvases, materials and artists expenses, and we can bring in a media team to document the event and create an 'in progress' short film that will be played along side the artist's completed collaborative paintings at the evening event.

This is massive news and is a huge endorsment for the launch of Tunisian Collaborative Painting in the UK!

We are now looking to reach a new target of £7000. This will allow us to:

    • Create a catalogue for the event, presenting the journey of TCP from Tunisia to New York and here to Bristol - artists profiles - and words from some founders of the art-form in Tunisia
    • Cover the rest of the event costs
    • AND! Host a follow-up exhibition of all the UK made Tunisian Collaborative Paintings to date in central Bristol

Tickets to the TCP-UK Launch Party are still available - so please SHARE with your friends and famaily and lets celebrate the birth of a new art-form in the UK - here in Bristol!

An update for The Imperial Plan by The Fable

    May 15 2016

    Hi pledgers,

As a result of your efforts both to pledge and to spread the word we hit £667.00. Although the target was higher and the costs keep coming your contibution will make huge differenceand I have been ploughing ahead finishing off the recording of the tracks.

Essentially there is only one thing left to record and that is the voiceover parts on a very adventurous track called The Alliance Waltz. It is designed to represent some of the key countries that joined the First World War by how they might play a waltz in their own typical musical style. You see, I said it was adventurous ;-)

The tracks are now being mixed at various studios (hopefully that will speed up the process) and I have set a goal to try to release the album on 1st July, 2016. That is the centenary of the first day of the battle of the Somme.

My task now is to get the cover and booklet design sorted. BTW, if you don't wanted to be credited on the album please let me know.

Here's to a beautiful sunny weekend.

    Mike

  • We're having SO MUCH FUN!!

An update for Support our debut feature film -- 7x7!

    May 12 2016

    Hey everyone!

There is no doubt about it -- we're feeling the heat with production just over two weeks away. We're working long hours, feeling stressed, getting frustrated, eating LOTS of chocolate... But you know what? WE ARE HAVING SO MUCH FUN!!

This is our passion and our purpose, and we're living it every day. How cool is that??

Yesterday we celebrated our gorgeous and outrageous producer and co-writer Katherine's birthday! She turned 26. I know, she's already producing her first feature, which she also wrote... Can we say POWERHOUSE?! We started the day off at Daybreaker, the morning dance party revolution, then had brunch before putting in a full day at the production office.

And some REALLY GREAT STUFF happened on Katherine's special day. We confirmed 2 more cast -- the supporting roles of Hayden and Eric, who work at the protagonist's tech start-up firm, and Liam met with two actors for Vince, the final piece of our core casting puzzle. We also confirmed our Director of Photography, who has worked with the best in the business as a 1st Assistant Cameraman including triple Academy Award winner Emmanuel Lubezki. He transitioned to being a DP a few years ago and is VERY excited to work on this film at this budget level, despite his epic career. We're going to start announcing all these wonderful people officially next week!

Your dollar contributions are making this all possible, so THANK YOU again for your support! Who can you reach out to with an invitation to join you, and us, in making this film happen?

    LET'S DO THIS!!

  • On our way to paradise again

An update for E Tuk Tuk for Sri Lanka

    May 11 2016

After a businesstrip to Bangkok, the team will meat again in Colombo Sri Lanka on May 15th.

Mission: introducing the concept of converting polluting threewheelers into electric to the president of Sri Lanka.

It took us two years to get to this point, but finally we can show the concept to the Sri Lankan government: the most polluting vehicles (two stroke threewheeler taxi's) will get a new electric engine and a battery-pack. On top of that, the brakes, lights and other vital parts will be modified to 21st century standards. Ths will result in better air quality and general road safety on the streets of Colombo. The example can be multiplied all over Asia and other countries with air quality issues. Ultimately, it will not only result into fresh air in Colombo, but also into lower carbon dioxide emission: by changing from oil to electric power for transort, we allow renewable energy like solar- and wind power to gain territory. This results into less consumption of fossile fuels, witch will lead to a stop of global warming.

Sri Lanka is our starting point, we like to refer to it as the gateway to Asia. And if Asia no longer breathes out greehouse gasses, the rest of the world will benefit.

Our grandkids will have questions: "Why did y'all take out aal of our feedstock? And why is the sea level so F...... High?

Join the mission, become a soldier for the next generation!
